Program 01
Sexual Health & Wellness Education
Community-rooted public health education on HIV, viral hepatitis, and STI awareness — grounded in dignity, evidence, and cultural competence.
Why this work
Knowledge belongs to every community member.
Decades of public health research show that accessible, culturally responsive education is the single most powerful tool for preventing the spread of HIV, hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted infections. We bring that knowledge into community settings where it makes the most difference.
Our education programs are designed for low-income individuals, families, and youth — populations historically underserved by mainstream public health communications. We meet community members where they are, in language they can use, with respect for their lived experience.
What we provide
Education programs and community resources
HIV Awareness Education
Group sessions, community events, and one-to-one conversations on HIV transmission, prevention, and stigma reduction — using current CDC guidance and community-tested messaging.
Viral Hepatitis Education
Plain-language information about hepatitis B and C — how transmission works, who is at higher risk, and how community members can connect to screening through partner organizations.
STI Awareness
Community education about sexually transmitted infections — prevention strategies, partner communication, and pathways to screening — delivered without judgment.
Stigma Reduction
Programs that name and counter the stigma that prevents community members from seeking education and support. We center dignity in every interaction.
Who this is for
Vulnerable and underserved populations across Tampa Bay
This program prioritizes low-income community members, individuals facing housing instability, communities of color, LGBTQ+ community members, youth, and others historically underserved by mainstream public health communications. We partner with other community-based organizations to reach the populations most in need of accessible, dignified education.
